The JBL TRIP is designed with all of these factors in mind. HARMAN’s exclusive Voice Cancellation technology allows for crystal clear phone calls even with road and wind noise in traffic.Navigation and ADAS apps like iONRaod wirelessly, send safety and turn prompts via Bluetooth; simultaneously, the driver can easily listen to their factory radio for local newscasts or traffic updates. JBL Trip is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works in my old convertible! With all the wind, engine, and road noise, this compact and very sturdilly built unit has outstanding clarity for receiving and also is very clear to those I'm speaking with. The duration it holds a charge is also excellent. I wish my 2014 car with built in bluetooth was as clear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good quaility! My husband drives a lot of different trucks for a living and he would be lost without this. We have bought other brands but nothing compares to the JBL Trip!

Can JBL Trip be connected to a laptop running Windows 8? Mine seems unable to. If it can, may I ask how to do it?

Asked by: bonita27
Yes. It is possible that your laptop simply does not have the necessary/updated drivers to stream audio via Bluetooth. The TRIP does not require any specific drivers. It utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most computer. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio.

Is the trip waterproof? Can it be used on a motorcycle?

Asked by: Mack daddy
No, JBL TRIP is not water-proof but it can be used on a motorcycle since it is a portable speaker. Please keep in mind that since it is not waterproof, it cannot withstand harsh weather. It only features the noise cancellation technology which allows you to enjoy crystal clear phone calls even with strong road or wind noise.

Which adapter should i use for charging JBL trip (input and output)? Is it okay if i use USB port for charging? And how long for a fully charge? Thanks JBL

Asked by: Bang Phan
You can use any regular adapter which has a USB port to hook up the charging cable. You can also charge it from your computer or laptop via USB Port. Since the TRIP has a 1200 mAh Lithium-ion battery, charging time would take around 2-3 hours. Please note that the charging time will significantly decrease if you use a charger with higher output (using 2A and above charger, wall outlet).

I have a JBL Flip 4. The flip 4 acts as a speaker phone. Can I use the JBL Trip as a (or the) speaker phone while using the Flip 4 as "just" a Bluetooth speaker at the same time? How can I connect both to my phone with Bluetooth at the same time?

Asked by: jdkarns1965
Unfortunately, this is not possible. The TRIP and FLIP 4 can be paired with multiple devices, but can only have one active source connected at a time.

i paired jbl trip with windows 7 using hp folio 9480m. sound is okay but mic is not working, any ideas?

Asked by: arvin de vela
It is possible that the laptop simply do not have the correct drivers to make use of the TRIPS’s built-in microphone. Please contact windows for further assistance.

can i connect my jbl trip to windows 10 laptop?

Yes, As long as your computer is capable of streaming audio via Bluetooth and its Bluetooth driver supports A2DP Audio codec, the CHARGE 3 should work without any issue.

can you connect multiple of these together in the car for a surround sound system? I know you have other JBL speakers that connect like that, so just curious if the car one does that too.

Asked by: taylorlandon20
No you cannot. TRIP portable speaker can only connect 1 device at a time and has no capability to stream music nor call wireless or wired connection to another TRIP, so it is impossible set it up a to surround sound system.
