Rated 5 out of 5 by from At the movies ! Picked up for Mom & Dad . They watch movies in bedroom on 32". They said "feels like we are at the movies" Was very easy to set up for me. Make sure sound bar is blinking fast to pair sub. Had to turn power of sound bar on and off a couple times for that. Very solid with lots of power. put in front of tv. It has switch for table or wall mount. Sub is perfect.Very nice as expected from JBL.

How do i set up the sound bar if the TV does not have a optical cord connection? It does not sound good using an AUX cord

Asked by: Jsubaru
You may try using a higher quality AUX cable but it would not affect the sound quality that much since it only provides analog signals. To receive high quality digital signals, the only option would be to either use an RCA analog to Optical digital converter or upgrade your TV with an optical cable connection for you.

the volume keeps on going up by its self and I have to keep the remote in my hand to turn down the volume why does this do it it has not done that before?

Asked by: CLTCKoski
This behavior is rather unusual for the SB250, does it happen when the TV goes from watching a show to a commercial? (commercial tends to be at a different volume) If yes, then you need to enable HARMAN volume to prevent fluctuations from the SB250. If same issue occurs, please do try and perform a reset on the soundbar by pressing the Volume " - " and Surround button at the same time for 5 seconds. This should fix the issue. However if the issue still continues please do submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service Team will be glad to assist you.

The SB 250 I have turns off on it's own, it gets louder or soft on it's own. The sound goes out when going from one channel to another or one source to another. What can I do to resolve this issue?

Asked by: rmondragon
If the volume changes on its own going from one channel/source to another, it is possible that you have not enabled the HARMAN VOLUME. With this feature, you can set your desired volume between low, medium and high. You can listen to your audio without sudden distracting changes such as blasts from ads, and volume variations as you switch between channels on your TV. Other benefits include full sound effects even at low volumes, this means if you are watching movies (DVD, BlueRay disc) and HARMAN VOLUME is set to low volume, then the signal is more compressed, than what the other volume levels is. This will allow you to hear natural, consistent sound at low volume level, and not only hearing voice conversation from movies, giving you the same movie experience just with lower volume. What is best for you is a matter of personal preference, so we recommend playing around with the three different levels. If this is not the case, you may try to do a reset by following the instructions below: 1. Unplug the units from the power outlet and plug them back in after 5 minutes. 2. In standby mode (amber light), press the Volume - ( minus ) and Surround buttons at the same time for 5 seconds until the unit turns on. 3. The device is now reset. 4. Pair both the soundbar and the sub again. If the issue is not resolved, please submit a case at www.jbl.com/support-contact.html and our Customer Service team will be glad to assist you.
