Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Durability!! I recieved this as a birthday gift and by the rating I gave it, It's obvious I loved it. The speaker is rather tough and not easy to damage by accident. Its sound is rather powerfull and so is the battery life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survived a Hottub I have had this product for about 2 years now and it has great sound quality. I also accidentally left it by my hottub and it fell in so it sat in 100 degrees for about 16 hours and when I pulled it out, it turned right on and worked, still dripping! Talk about waterproof!!! Amazing speaker! Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing sound (and bass) Really surprised as how good the sound quality and bass are. Glad we didn’t have to pay 200+ for a good quality portable speaker. Very happy with decision! Had it for over a year and still looks like new even though it’s been dropped a lot and spends a lot of time at the beach and in the shower. Highly recommend!

There is no wall plug only the micro cable !  Was this a mistake?

Asked by: GareBear
Per the spec sheet, it only comes with a USB - Micro USB cable. That is all I received. I just use an old Blackberry charger to charge via an outlet.

Can I limit Bluetooth pairing to only one device? I don't want other people to pair with my Flip 3 and stop my music. I want Flip 3 to restrict Bluetooth pairing after one device is connected.

Asked by: isleofgod
You have to allow them to connect by pushing the Bluetooth button on your jbl product

Any tips on how to get it to sinc? There are no instructions, no trouble shooting tips, nothing. :-( I've been trying and Googling for info for 2 days.

Asked by: Sunnidaze
1- pair your audio device with only one Flip3. 2- localize the connect button on both Flip3 (button between the power button and the LEDs that shows battery level) 3- Press both buttons simultaneously (don't need to hold down the buttons; simple press/release).

My Flip 3 has been cutting out recently, like while I'm listening to music the sound cuts out and then comes back a few seconds later. Is there any way to fix it? I thought maybe the battery could be low, but I fully charged it and it was still happening.

Sounds like your notifications are turned on the smartphone. When I use my bluetooth I disable the notifications. The phone will still ring but you won't get the audio drop when you receive a notification.

Hello, For the flip3, I have seen that multiple device can connect on the flip by BT.The problem is that I would like to lock the Bluetooth only to 1 Device. Is that possible ? I don't want anybody to link his mobile to my Speaker when I'm using it.Tx

Asked by: Lost
Don't you have to pair with it first by physically pressing the BT button

Having had the same problems, try to tinker it a little bit, hope this help. This is for those who have paired but haven't got the "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" appeared in the "Sound" > "Playback" Tab options. 1. Check whether the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator (MBE) is Enabled or not, if it is not Microsoft's, check whether your Bluetooth device is enabled - it's from Device Manager > Bluetooth Radios. 2. Try to re-pair the JBL Flip, right click to the device's icon in the "Devices and Printers" section in Control Panel, choose Properties. (skip-able) 3. Go to the Services Tab, mark all, or just mark those services options you need, but in my case, I particularly mark "Audio Sink" and "Headset" options. 4. Get back to the Device Manager, look at the "Sound, video and game controllers" section, and again, in my case, there will be "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" - Enable it. 5. And again back to the Devices and Printers, right click at the JBL icon, you could see the "Control" button, choose that, try to connect it, if it is successfully connected, you are a step away from being able to use the JBL Flip. If not, look for the explanation below. 6. Go to Sound option in Control Panel, and voila, there goes the "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" choice in the Playback tab. Enable it (if not available, Connect first - but it should be available after Step 5 is done), and set as the default device (disabling your previous default speaker is also advised). I tried to enable the speaker not in a respective steps, in the first step, after enabling the MBE in the Device Manager setting, there are devices being installed (shown by the notification icon), then I checked the "Sound, video and game controllers", saw that the "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" is disabled - I enabled it - then there were other devices being installed. Then, after finished installing, the "Control" option after the right clicking of the JBL icon in Devices and Printers became available. tried to connect it, it couldn't be connected. Then after knowing that the "Audio Sink" in step 3 is not being marked, I tried to mark it and the device magically could be connected in the Control option, then I just followed step 6, and it was ready to be used.

when I play music on the flip from my android phone if my wife gets a text on her iphone it stops my music. the same happens if she plays music and I even log into my phone... the only way to fix it is for one of us to turn off bluetooth. HUGE ISSUE...

Asked by: donandandi
Thank you for the inquiry. Please disconnect/unpair all source devices. Clear the phone bluetooth cache. Perform a reset of the speaker. Reconnect and test. Best Regards. In power ON mode press and hold the "Volume +" and "Phone" buttons at the same time for more than 3 seconds -> Unit will power Off by itself. Now the unit is reset to factory default
