The JBL Horizon clock radio starts your day with room-filling JBL stereo sound, enriched with the multi-sensory ambient glow of LED lights. The Horizon features two separate customizable alarms, for you or your partner. Wake up to one of three original digital alarm tones, the FM station of your choice, music from your smart phone via Bluetooth or a traditional buzzer. It offers five programmable FM radio presets, and can also stream music wirelessly from any Bluetooth phone or tablet. The Horizon features a compact design suitable for placement on any nightstand or kitchen shelf. The crisp LCD clock display has a built-in light sensor to automatically adjust the brightness according to the environment. Two USB ports can fast-charge your devices, including phones, tablets and wearables. The large Snooze/Light button combined with the clear LCD display makes JBL Horizon easy to use even when you are drowsy, and the built in battery backup system ensures you will always wake up, even during a power outage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new JBL Horizon When we went on holiday to the Maldives in December last year, this JBL Horizon was in our room and we absolutely loved it. We asked the GM of the Island as to where he got it from and I managed to find the UK website. Absolutely love being woken up to the beautiful gentle guitars, or you can change it to the FM radio - but I prefer the gentle guitars - especially after a late night!! It's great the way the light comes on about 5 seconds before the guitars start playing - and the light goes out automatically when you either turn off the alarm or press the snooze button - nice touch. I was initially sceptical about buying this alarm clock due to the negative comments about you couldn't read the numbers at night and the loudness of the music - I don't know whether they have fixed this problem - but it's an absolute dream .... pardon the pun!! I would definitely recommend the JBL Horizon!

I see a few reviews regarding whacko volumes on the alarms, persons saying volume increases over time to the MAX and no way to fix that.... however we've not seen any such problem yet after a few weeks hard use... fingers crossed :-) The instruction manual is traditionally inadequate, I wish Harman would do better in this area.. I totally get it when buying a cheap product, but this one is not cheap and Harman should address ALL age groups when writing operator manuals. For example.. there's not one word mentioned on how to operate the Night-light feature... you'd think that was intuitive but no.. we thought it was broken but in reality the Light Switch / Snooze button goes into DELAYED Dimming mode when pressed.. so you touch the button 100 times trying to make the light go off, not realizing the first touch will take 10 to 15 seconds to actually shut the light off... it's great feature once you figure that out... allows you to <say> cross the room and get into bed with 'some' light.. Harman won't tell you that anywhere... but I just did :-) Overall it's a great device.. we love it !

Hi, I wake up every morning with radio alarm, but I cannot set it at a certain volume. The radio starts at a low volume and a few seconds after gets louder and louder. I can&acute;t stand it and I have to turn it off. It&acute;s not a gently wake up at all.

Really bad decision by designers. I listen to it mostly on wakeup. Unfortunately I have to run to switch it off. The sound becomes so strong quickly.&nbsp;

Will you have a fix allowing to control the FM radio volume in alarm mode? I have SW version 26 and the Bluetooth alternative is not suitable for me. I like the device quality, but this issue makes it so unusable I'm thinking of returning it. Thank you.

I can't read the LED display unless I flash my cellphone light directly at the light sensor. Can it really be true that I can't manually adjust this?

Same problem here, it is not visible in most lighting conditions, the only solution is to place another lamp close to the device so that the dim function is forced to enhance the display level. Strange R&amp;D!

Hi In the morning with the alarm set to wake you up on the radio setting, the volume gets way to loud too quickly! I checked my software version and it is version 22. Is there a way to update this software?&nbsp; Many thanks&nbsp;

This has been addressed and corrected with production software version 025. Unfortunately, there is no way to control the volume of the wake-up alarm sound on the HORIZON. The update for the HORIZON cannot be done over-the-air download. I noticed that you are in South Africa. If this doesn't help, please contact the store where you purchased it and they will be able to help, or at least guide you to the people that can.

Hello great product, very good sound, but increasing radio alarm to 11 is really anoying and tooooo loud. Please make realy fast update that radio alarm is fix, if I set alarm radio on level 4, alarm should increase from 1 to 4. If not I turn back clock.

I went to BigBang but no solution. They said that they wait your SW update. So update should be, when alarm is set to radio no volume increasing &amp; after 1 or 2 hour radio should off automatically. Could you make update very fast, otherwise this product is not for me, I'll return soon, and I think other customers also. Not fine for so great product.

I use device as a wake-to-music alarm clock. Is there any wait to set it so that the radio goes off on its own after a given time? Otherwise I find it blaring away when I return home after a few days away.

If you don't turn off the alarm, Horizon's alarm sounds for 3 minutes, then it shuts off, or rather it goes into snooze, for 9 minutes. Then it sounds the alarm again for 3 minutes, followed by snooze for another 9 minutes. After this final snooze period, it starts playing, and keeps on playing until it is manually shut off.

Can it be possible to upgrade via usb to remove the gradual volume function? We prefer to set a volume the night before, which will be kept for the duration of the alarm in the morning.

This answer is completely wrong. It made me by this alarm and I regret it.&nbsp; The fix is simply the volume goes to Max slower. You still can't control the volume yourself. Unreal! Complaint galore on this site.&nbsp;

I just dealt with this. The fix that put through was that the volume good too Max slower. The customer still can't control the volume. Unreal!
