Era-definingsound. Magnetic legacy

A new bass-line has been set in audio performance. 67 years in the making, we can safely admit it: we’ve pulled off another loudspeaker series that's powerful, precise, or hedonistically refined. It is our new 10-piece JBL® Studio 2 Series. And we never could have done it without engineering the likes of our new SUB 260P powered subwoofer. Tested relentlessly in the world’s finest sound research lab – our own – as well as pitted against competitors in real world comparative listening studies, we’ve created a powered subwoofer that leaves all others behind. An era-defining 12” PolyPlas low-frequency transducer powered by a 300-watt Class-D high-efficiency amplifier delivers sound that’s indisputably pure and potent. A rear-firing Slipstream bass port goes beyond anything you’ve ever heard before when it comes to undistorted opulence of sound. And your ears will be confounded by the richness and rawness of tight, accurate bass complete with flawless harmonic overtones and natural note decay. With signature touches like luxurious gloss black paneling, solid cabinet construction with soft-rounded edges and no visible fasteners, and a choice of either a Black or an Espresso woodgrain finish, will do for your eyes what our bass will do for your ears. We’ve combined the power and precision of high-tech audio with the sleek urbanity of “it-factor” design. For those able to hear the truth, we’re confident you’ll hear it at first listen.

Studio SUB 260P is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT I purchased this sub a week ago and I'm totally satisfied; it performs just how you would expect from a subwoofer: powerfully and deeply even at low volumes, filling the room with its presence. Probably my choice couldn't have been better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Fantastic Love this sub, it makes enough bass that it vibrates my drywall. Make sure when you buy it though, that you move it around the room to find the best position for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Sub Received my Sub yesterday, wanted one of these for ages and not disappointed, it is truly awesome. Massive power hardly need volume more than around 1/3 setting. It has a base boost setting but cannot imagine why. Hearing sounds from films and music videos I have never heard before. If you want some real grunt and power to your system you cannot go wrong with this sub. My only real grip is that having only received it yesterday it has now been reduced in price by almost £50, gutted. I was about to buy the Studio bookshelf speakers to compliment this sub and replace my Control Ones but wary may be jumping too soon now if more price reductions round the corner, maybe JBL can do me deal as a measure of good will?

The ES250P has an RMS wattage rating of 400 watts while the SUB 260P has 300 watts. You should be able to match the levels without any issues.

Will this studio 260p supports global ac power voltage ? 110 to 230v @ 50 - 60 Hz.

Asked by: Sibin
The subwoofers sold in this US site are US models, so they are 110 volt versions. A step down transformer can be used, however, I would recommend getting a subwoofer from a local store for warranty reasons.

I have need one set of speakers for home theater size of theater ix 22×18th Pl advice suitable speakers.

Asked by: Raj kumar
There is no correct answer to your question. Here are the general rules to picking out speakers for your system. 1. Make sure the receiver can handle the impedance/ohms of the speakers. Typical impedance and 8 ohms and is almost never a problem. 2. Make sure that the speakers you choose can handle the power rating of your receiver. If you have a 100 watt per channel receiver, be sure the speakers you choose have a wattage rating of 100 watts or higher. 3. Stick with the same series of speaker, so that all of the speakers have the same sonic tonal quality, giving you a seamless transition when sound travels from one speaker to another. For example, if you select the ARENA 180 floor standing speakers for your front speakers, be sure to select the ARENA series center and bookshelf speakers for your rears.

The Studio Sub 260P replaces the Studio Sub 250P and not the ES 250 P.
