The BEST. So long marketing hype for other brands.
I have been using wireless headphones of the same price point for a popular brand known for heavy bass. I have had a few and after them breaking rather abruptly I decided to try these, cord and all. The sound is insane! Bass out of control. Literally these are not for people who want to hear their surroundings. They are awesome, I am so pleased. App is cool too, not gimicky, just easy.

Finally stress free at work!
I had been struggling the last few years at work to concentrate on my job but my coworkers like talk and one of them is extremely loud. I was skeptical that these would cut out the ear-piercing coworker, but as soon as I put these in my ears I heard angels singing! ..actually it was a low volume slow Beatles song and as I looked over at my coworker, her head was bobbling around and her mouth was moving and I was finally at peace. Thank you a million times over JBL for creating these heavenly earbuds!

Great for running
I bought these for the new iPhone 7 and have been using them for the last 2 weeks. I like the control and the ability to change the ambient noise canceling.

Are these only for Apple devices?
No. Well, you just buy the one with the USB-C connection for your non Apple products.

The Adaptive Noise Control can be controlled through an app called JBL Ambient Aware.

Yes, the Aware comes with an inline microphone that enables you to take calls.

Will the type-c version of these headphones ever be compatible with the Apple Macbook Pro? Seems like a massive oversight to not make them compatible from the get go, especially considering the price tag.

Is this not available with micro-USB connector or USB-type C connector ?
Current htc is selling the htc 10 with these headphones, they are now compatible with the USB-type c

Is it compatible for Samsung j5 ?
No. It’s made specifically to work for iPod, iPhone, or iPad, and will not work with anything other than Apple products with Lightning connectors.

Hi. The Aware is equipped with Apple Lightning plug, only used on Apple phones, so use with Android phones is not possible.

Is there a built-in amplifier in the headphones?
The JBL Aware does not have a built in amplifier. The Aware features Adaptive Noise Control that allows you to adjust the level of environment noise.
