JBL LINK VIEW is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product I got this a week ago and am super impressed it's sound is so good the bass and depth the speakers have put my Amazon echo to shame. Google assistant is also much better at understanding my accent and have not had a single word misunderstood unlike alexa who struggles to get what I'm saying. I love that I can cast to the screen and watch you tube or anything I want while I'm cooking in the kitchen it's the missing piece of my smart home puzzle it fitted in so easily and it hands down the best piece of smart tech I have ever owned. The only small fault I have was the camera is angled slightly high but that's a tiny thing for such an amazing product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!!!! I had a Lenovo Smart Display which was cool, but it was large, white with OK sound quality. I purchased the JBL Link View which is an amazing Smart screen speaker blends in better being black in my kitchen, is splash proof which is a huge plus for any kitchen and doesn’t take too much space in my opinion. The sound of course is much much better than the Lenovo model. This purchase will not disappoint you with its screen quality and sound.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great screen and the sound is amazing I have had many JBL products and I have never been disappointed. The Google Assistant from when you take it out of the box looks impressive. A very sleek design. The screen when turned on is very good with bright colours and it's very easy to set it up. I have used it to search YouTube and listen to music via spotify. I love the ability to stop, play back and turn up the volume just me telling it to do it. It comes with a camera and microphone built in, which can be switched off with a switch at the back. The sound with every JBL product I have had is superb and it's no different , playing music on the Google assistant is amazing. This product is worth every penny a must buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful and stylish I wanted to test this equipment because I love new technology and embrace it with open arms. I was excited that I had been chosen to review it and looked forward to it arriving. When I opened the box I was not disappointed with the way it looked. Very sleek and modern. I did, however, have a problem putting in the power cord as it was quite awkward to attach. That small problem aside, the set up was quick and easy as I already have a Google Home mini and the Home app. However, every step was easy to follow and I eagerly anticipated using its features. I love the screen which is very clear and so far I have tested using a recipe and it is such a pleasure to be given step by step instructions instead of stopping and starting to read the instructions. I use the wake up function in the morning and like that it can be customised with the news, my schedule and the weather. I will continue to experiment in the coming week.s

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This arrived yesterday, was keen to get it set up to see how it would all fit together with everything I currently own. First impressions well packed, then un-boxing well made too. One mains lead with just a figure 8 power connector - I like that, makes the whole thing neat without a trailing brick! Powered up and the setup was a breeze, android phone and the Google App picked it up and we were off! The screen helps with the setup at every stage. Because I have a Google Home device it picked up all my voice settings automatically. The touch screen itself is beautiful, very clear and reminds me of my Nexus 7 screen for clarity and colours. I like the way the base unit sits with the screen and speakers angled in such a way that it's easy to look at in a typical sitting at a desk or standing at kitchen unit height, haven't quite decided where it's going to live yet! Like that the camera has a manual shutter, so you can slide it into place with your finger. Once setup I was pleased to see an uncomplicated swipeable set of menus, with exactly what I was expecting - Top news stories, You Tube, Music, Calling, and the helpful assistant there in the last menu block if I want to add to it..

Will this support Multiroom Audio?

Asked by: DW141
Google Support tells me that Link View is a Chrome Cast Video, not Chrome Cast Audio. So setting up a multi room audio would not be possible using the Google Home App to group speakers.

There are conflicting answers on here as to whether the Link View can be added to a music home group in the Google Home app. Can someone please clarify whether or not this speaker can actually be added to a home group?

Asked by: Desjet24
Hello! Unfortunately, the JBL Link View is not considered a "speaker" that's why it cannot become a part of a speaker group.

Will JBL be working on an update to allow this to be added to a Google Home group?

Asked by: DJSoopa
I don't think that is correct. I received my JBL to day and I was able to add it to my home group. Open the HOME app, tap add and it should find your JBL. Once added, I was able to add to my home group.

does it allow for setting up pre-set tune in stations so the need to use call letters and frequency is not required for pre-sets. ie, allow for 6 presents so station can be changed simply by saying hey google, tune in pre-set #- - -

Asked by: Melman
Hello! Apparently, this would be a function of the Google Assistant. Unfortunately we are unable to answer the question, we would suggest contacting Google about that feature.

I'm confused - is the sound output in stereo? I was assuming yes with two speaker drivers but I don't see anything in the specs saying the sound output is in stereo.

Asked by: PLakesMan
Yes. The sound output of the Link view is Stereo. 2 drivers for left and right channels respectively.

can I use it as an alarm clock (radio!?) with different alarms for each day? Can I use my iPhone to set different alarms?

Asked by: Miwanger
Yes, you can use the JBL Link View as an alarm clock with different alarms for each day. You just need to set it up with the Google home app and have the Google Assistant set this alarm for you on different days. Unfortunately, the JBL Link View is a stand alone Google device and you only use your phone to set it up through the Google Home app. You cannot use your iPhone to set up different alarms for it.
