Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hey Google, write this review. Hey Google, how can I tell people how good this product is? Well, let’s start, this is awesome. It’s the first time I’ve properly used a Google product, as I usually use products from the dark side. But this is so easy to use, the google feature is so accurate. It displays exactly what you say. If you look at Other types of software similar to google assist, it doesn’t understand you as easy as this does. It’s like having your own musical servant. I also have it tell me my morning routine when I wake up, it’s puts my coffee on for me!!!!! I use this in the kitchen, it great when your in the middle of cooking or washing up because you don’t have to use your hands at all. Set up is a doddle and the interface is so user friendly. The sound quality is insane. You can see the built in subwoofer working on the back of the unit. The mid tones are smooth and high tones are crisp. Maybe this is the starting product to convert me over the the dark side???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black Friday discount = bargain It's a Google home hub with: 1. A larger screen 2. A video camera for video calls 3. Nice sound quality and the volume fills my kitchen well. There is no silly power converter to hide away, mains goes straight into the LinkView.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from converted skeptic!! This new addition to our home has completely changed my mind on voice controlled technology! first decision was where to have this unit, it was originally in the living room, but it actually works better for us in the kitchen and here's why. Out home is a reverse layout, meaning the kitchen is the first room you enter after the hallway. Once home I simply say "Hay Google I'm home" and I have a series of commands that are then performed, if I walk through into the living area, I simply ask google "Hay google, cast to living room TV" and it jumps room I have managed to connect a series of smaller google home mini speakers in the upstairs rooms, and also smart sockets, so I ask google to turn on or off lights or chargers, for example I go to bed knowing my phone charger will turn off at 3am meaning I'm not wasting electric charging a fully charged phone (this is also better for the battery) this is directly link to another command, I say "ok google Goodnight" and this turns out lights downstairs and puts the charging socket on until 3am I wake up say "hay google good morning" and my route to work is displayed with any delays, then a series of news is read out (Sky news isn't working yet, but this tech is still young) Another feature that I like is I can ask for directions to a place while I'm putting my coat and shoes on, the directions are then sent to my android phone and navigation starts, so as soon as I enter my car the Bluetooth connects and the satnav updates with the instructions (love this feature) The sound quality is above what you would expect from such a small unit, loads of deep bass!! As I've said I'm now a total convert on this tech and will be adding a video doorbell, other speakers and control devices for items around the home, I've even converted my 70+ year old parents, they have joined the speak tech revolution (even if 90% of the time it's just to get radio) When following a recipe online, one feature you're supposed to be able to do doesn't work, you're supposed to say "next step" but it doesn't you have to manually tap the screen a little annoying if your covered in flour, but it cleans down easy enough, I'm sure this will improve as I've already said this is in its infancy stage, I'm sure loads more features will come as this tech evolves, for example, it can see my robot Vac on the same wi-fi network, but it can't set him off cleaning (or at least I haven't been able to get it do so) The number of languages is limited, my partner is Brazilian and it doesn't understand any Portuguese, so when asking for a "feijoada recipe" you have to ask for "Brazilian Stew recipes" and select the right one, again I'm sure language packs will be added, this is google they have unlimited access to language around the world

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning sound for a compact unit Was so excited to get this unit and try it. From unboxing the unit i could tell this is a solid built unit and very stylish that went with our contemporary style living room perfectly. So just plugged it in ready to set up, this is where i worried a little bit of how complicated it would be. Well i didnt have to worry at all, good user interface, installed google home on my phone, connected to wifi and BINGO. Every single command me, my partner and my 10 year old child threw at it, it recognised every single one. This resulted in some family battles for googles attention LOL. Started off with some music videos, well to say i was suprised is an understatement....the sound quality of this unit is amazing with a beautiful clear non distorting bassline. This unit has become our go to place to play music around the home. Picture quality on the screen is clear, i would have like a bigger screen but hey...its fine. Even enjoyed some of the cheesy jokes google shared with me. You can say good morning to google and set up a morning routine including, news, weather etc. I feel like i have only experienced a little bit of what this machine has to offer. Overall i cant pick fault with it at all. Love this machine and would recommend it to anyone out there.... Looking forward to use it when we host parties

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3 Days and I am hooked Having had the opportunity to use and review my JBL Link View over a weekend having received it a couple of days earlier. I have to say that I am highly impressed with the quality of the product and feel like I am going to miss it a great deal when I must post it back. As my wife and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen the Link View offers us both the opportunity to listen to our favorite music and radio stations with the bonus of being able to watch videos on You Tube as well as being able to access programmes of BBC I player for example. My wife has already found and been able to access and follow cookery programmes which she loves. Setting up the Link View was very easy having installed the Google Home app and we were listening to and watching music videos within minutes. Looking forward to finding out more about what the product has to offer and posting more reviews about its features.

Will this support Multiroom Audio?

Asked by: DW141
Google Support tells me that Link View is a Chrome Cast Video, not Chrome Cast Audio. So setting up a multi room audio would not be possible using the Google Home App to group speakers.

There are conflicting answers on here as to whether the Link View can be added to a music home group in the Google Home app. Can someone please clarify whether or not this speaker can actually be added to a home group?

Asked by: Desjet24
On the JBL website https://www.jbl.com/voice-activated-speaker/JBL+LINK+VIEW.html the box is checked for multiroom support. Mario, will this become available in the future? If not I am going to take it back for a refund.

Ca I stream Spotify or a Video streaming service like Netflix on this?

Asked by: Rich2020
Most things you can cast from you can. Netflix unfortunately you can't but it seems like an issue from the Netflix side

does it allow for setting up pre-set tune in stations so the need to use call letters and frequency is not required for pre-sets. ie, allow for 6 presents so station can be changed simply by saying hey google, tune in pre-set #- - -

Asked by: Melman
Hello! Apparently, this would be a function of the Google Assistant. Unfortunately we are unable to answer the question, we would suggest contacting Google about that feature.

I'm confused - is the sound output in stereo? I was assuming yes with two speaker drivers but I don't see anything in the specs saying the sound output is in stereo.

Asked by: PLakesMan
Yes. The sound output of the Link view is Stereo. 2 drivers for left and right channels respectively.

can I use it as an alarm clock (radio!?) with different alarms for each day? Can I use my iPhone to set different alarms?

Asked by: Miwanger
Yes, you can use the JBL Link View as an alarm clock with different alarms for each day. You just need to set it up with the Google home app and have the Google Assistant set this alarm for you on different days. Unfortunately, the JBL Link View is a stand alone Google device and you only use your phone to set it up through the Google Home app. You cannot use your iPhone to set up different alarms for it.
